The plot of this anime series revolves around a young kid called Gon Freecss, who finds that his father, who abandoned him when he was young, is a world-renowned Hunter, a licensed professional who specializes in fantasy activities such as identifying rare or undiscovered animal species, treasure hunting, scouting uncharted enclaves, or tracking down lawless persons.
Gon sets out on a mission to become a Hunter and, ultimately, discover his father. Gon meets other Hunters and experiences the otherworldly along the way.
